Ms. Shaunna -
Attached is a copy of Pete’s traits assignment, as dictated to me tonight. We have tried in the past weeks or so to alleviate the difficulty of getting Pete to put something onto paper by typing for him. He tells me what to write, we go through it a few times, and he seems to settle upon what he feels is a complete paper. I do work with his spelling and question him on punctuation, but the meat of the assignment is all Pete. He will hand in the paper tomorrow, but I thought it helpful to include what we had done this evening. His “disgraphia” is pretty taxing to him, to the point it seems to keep him from completing work.

Intro -
In MLK’s “I have a dream” speech”, there is one part that said that my 4 kids will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the — of there character. We have to write a paper about our own character and traits, and here it is.
Trait: Creative
Example 1: Imaginative – I am imaginative because I make up many battle scenes and characters.
Example 2: Inventor – I built a kamikaze helicopter out of rubber bands and popsicle sticks. It epically failed, but was cool to build it.
Example 3: Drawer – I make pictures and draw on my binder many battles and stuff like that.
Trait: Strong
Example 1. Mentally strong : I do well in math classes and reading, except for that 1 test we took yesterday.
Example 2: Wrestler : Taj and I wrestled many times during afterschool in 3rd and 4th grades. Sometimes Taj would win, but mostly I would win. Yesterday, it was a tie.
Example 3: Bicycling fast : I beat my dad in bicycle races from the Richmond Marina to Costco and back 3 times. Each time I wanted to get a pizza at Costco.
Trait: Artistic
Example 1: Mine Craft Designer – I built a roller coaster, and planning to build a top secret chamber for diamond goods and even a movie theater.
Example 2: visual picturer – I see the projects in my mind, then I build it.
Example 3: cartoonist –Martin and I made a comic strip called “Cosmo vs. the Green Creeper”.
Conclusion:
These are the things/ traits that make my character what I am.
Hi, Ms. Shauna! I am wondering if I can put “psychological” (as in smart, genius, or mentally objective) as one of my character traits. I know–that character trait sounds a little strange.
Hi Sarah,
Psychological would be an interesting character trait. If you use it (and I suggest you try it), be sure to explain what you mean by psychological and give a clear example of how you fit that character description. I can’t wait to read it.
Shauna
